In 1986, on the first Friday in May, Dulaney Valley sponsored Maryland's first Fallen Heroes Day. In 1990, the Maryland Legislature passed a resolution calling for a yearly commemoration of public servants; a day on which Dulaney Valley hosts a memorial service, attended by more than 1,200 people. 38th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service – FOP Lodge #4- Bus

The Memorial Service will be held on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. The Service begins at 11:00 a.m. and is expected to run approximately 2 hours.
