|If you feel like you’re spending too much of your life in your car…a new study suggests your instincts might be on the mark.
Just how bad is it?
Baltimore area commuters spend…or waste if you prefer…as much as 50 hours a year more than we have to behind the wheel.
That’s according to the study by the Texas Transportation Institute that ranks the local commute as among the top five worst in the nation.
As commuters wheels spin ever more slowly…state transportation officials are ready with their positive spin…saying it’s largely a result of a good economy.
In spite of plans for major highway improvements like the Intercounty Connector…it’s only expected to get worse as the population continues to grow.
