The Lodge regrets to announce the passing of Madeline Langhirt, mother of Steve Langhirt, on September 26, 2013.
Madeline A. Langhirt, 84, of Myrtle Beach, SC, died peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013.
Born July 29, 1929, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry VanRossum and Lena (Purdy) VanRossum. She was the wife of the late John F. Langhirt.
Surviving are sons, Steve Langhirt & daughter in law Sherrie Langhirt, of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jon Langhirt & daughter in law Ofelia Langhirt, of Antioch, CA; Siblings Jim Taylor, Louise Timmons & David Taylor. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by brother, John VanRossum & infant sister, Joanna C. VanRossum.
A graveside service will be held on October 7, 2013 at 12:15pm, at Delaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD. Guests are asked to meet by the cemetery lake, which is to the right upon entering the cemetery. A luncheon to celebrate Madeline’s life will be held after the service, at Silver Spring Mining Co Restaurant, at 11100 York. Rd in Hunt Valley, MD.
