39th Annual Baltimore County Police Foundation Awards Dinner

The Baltimore County Police Foundation’s Awards Program was established in 1980 to recognize Police Department employees for outstanding performance and to strengthen the relationship between the Department and the business community. All members of the Department, sworn and professional staff, are eligible for nomination. Nominations are made by a Department member, screened by the nominee’s supervisor and the Commendation Board, and then considered by the Foundation’s Award Committee.

Categories recognized are: Rookie of the Year, Community Service, Crime Prevention, Valor, Distinguished Contribution to the Profession, Exceptional Performance (Individual) and Exceptional Group Performance.

The Foundation is currently seeking nominations for accomplishments during the 2018 calendar year. These awards will be presented at the Foundation’s 39th Annual Awards Dinner on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Valley Mansion by Martins. A cash award of $1,000 is given to individual award recipients, and for categories where three or more recipients are selected, the maximum cash award is $3,000 which is shared equally between all nominees. All award recipients receive a plaque acknowledging their contribution and a specially designed ribbon bar/pin.
