Blue Mass

September 29 @ 9:20 am - 11:00 am

You are invited to participate in the Annual Archbishop William E. Lorie “Blue Mass for First Responders” to be held on September 29, 2019 at St. Casimir Church, O’Donnell St. & Kenwood Ave. Baltimore, MD. Guests are to be present at 9:30 a. m. First Responders (Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Units and the Maryland National Guard) rank and file and their families are invited to participate. Supporting agencies and Honor Guard Units are asked to participate. All Faiths are invited to attend.

The Mass will honor Maryland Cities, Counties, State and Federal emergency responders and bring recognition to those who have made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.  Our goal is to create a greater awareness of those who serve us so faithfully; often placing others’ lives and safety above their own.

The tradition of showing gratitude to emergency responders and their families in this way has continued throughout the United States, especially since the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01. First Responders are encouraged to wear their service uniforms. Please place the Blue Mass invitation on your web-page, Face Book and other communication media.

Archbishop Lori, the Catholic War Veterans and Maryland citizens want to show their gratitude and appreciation to all First Responders and for your organization’s dedication, while attending to our personal needs and protecting us from harm. We thank you.

Please inform the CWV Commander Gilbert Barker at 410-299-7283 or E-mail at Bmore21222@aol.com or Irving C. J. Porter at 410-215-7744 or e-mail at cjhudson11@verizon.net if you have any questions and your presentation at the Mass.

Respectfully,

Irving C. J. Porter                                             Gilbert Barker
