|The family of a motorcyclist who died in an accident during a high speed police pursuit is suing the city and the officer who was behind the wheel of the cruiser.
Officer Timothy Beall allegedly ignored orders to break off the chase just before the accident that happened last year on a Beltway exit ramp.
The family of the late Haines Holloay-Lilliston is seeking $40 million.
They contend that the officer struck the motorcycle while he was distracted by the police radio, The Sun reported.
The operator bounced off the hood of the police car.
The Baltimore County State’s Attorney, whose office investigated the accident, declined to press criminal charges in an investigation citing insufficient evidence.
