The lodge regrets to announce the passing of Marie D. Miller, wife of Retired Lieutenant Norman Miller.
On Thursday June 4, 2020 Marie D. Miller (nee Gerasinovich) died suddenly at home at the age of 84, due to complications related to Diabetes and Dementia.
Marie was born on February 5, 1936 to Anna and Peter Gerasinovich in Frackville PA, where she grew up and lived until moving to Dundalk MD in 1958. Marie was a homemaker who sought employment after her children were all school age. She worked at Sears Surplus store on Merritt Blvd for over 20 years. While at Sears she made many friends whom she enjoyed spending time with playing BUNCO, and traveling to New York City to see Cats on Broadway, the holiday displays and the Rockettes Christmas Show. She loved her trips and cruises to Bermuda and Hawaii.
Marie got her wish to “lived by the water” and she enjoyed many years and family parties while living on Turkey Point Run off Sue Creek. She and Captain Norman enjoyed cruising on the Chesapeake Bay and Hart-Miller Island on their boat the “Marie D”. In later years Marie enjoyed puzzling and shopping for the family.
Marie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Norman P. Miller, her children and their spouces; Roxann and Edward Gordon, Chris and Krissy Miller, Michael and Jill Miller and Matthew Miller. She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
We are grateful and blessed to have had such a loving, giving, wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed XOXO
