Mr. Metcalf was temporarily residing with the girl’s family. Mr. Metcalf was sentenced by Judge William O. Carr to a total of sixty years, with twenty years suspended.
He will serve forty years in the Division of Corrections and will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Mr. Metcalf is also facing related federal charges for production of child pornography that was found on his video camera and his laptop computer.

The defendant was arrested and charged the same day. The case was also investigated by the Harford County Department of Social Services.
