County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said Friday he has appointed a business attorney, the head of the Towson Chamber of Commerce, and a state administrator to the county planning board.
The three new members are set to start three-year terms in January. They are: Jeffrey E. Gordon, a business litigation attorney with the firm Hogan Lovells; Nancy Hafford, executive director of Towson Chamber of Commerce; and Rainier C. Harvey Sr., a retired police officer and chief of administrative operations for the Maryland Department of Human Resources.
The three will replace Nellie Grinage, William Moore and Robert Gregory, whose terms expire Dec. 31.
Kamenetz also nominated board member Paul G. Miller, former president and CEO of Commercial Credit Co. in Baltimore, to serve as the panel’s vice chairman. Miller has been on the board for seven years. The county council must approve the nomination.
The 15-member volunteer planning board advises the county administration and council on development, planning and infrastructure issues, and makes recommendations on the county’s capital program and budget.
