A police-involved shooting in the city with a suspect who has died.
It started with an arrest in Baltimore County at the Beltway near 95,and a fight between an officer and the suspect. The suspect allegedly threatened the officer and then stole the police cruiser.
The suspect reportedly drove into South Baltimore in the police car where he swapped vehicles and took an SUV from a Motel Six parking lot on Caton Avenue.
City police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tells WBAL News the chase ended on the 34-hundred block of Annapolis Road around 3 a.m.
That’s where the suspect was confronted by officers from Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County, who opened fire. He was shot multiple times.
The man later died at Shock Trauma.
No police were injured in the incident.
Several others in the SUV were being held for questioning.
