The Lodge regrets to announce the passing of Anna Risdorfer, the mother of Brother Rick Hearn.

On January 2, 2025, Anna Mary Risdorfer fell asleep in the Lord after a long battle with interstitial lung disease (cryptogenic organizing pneumonia) and pulmonary fibrosis. She was 68 years old. Anna is survived by her children, Alison Sikirica, Rick Hearn, and Ryan Hearn; and siblings, Albert Risdorfer and Joseph Risdorfer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Justina Risdorfer, and her brother, Robert Risdorfer.

Anna was born on December 12th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1974 where she was captain of the drill team. She obtained her degree in nursing in 1993, and had a long, successful career caring for others. After her diagnosis, Anna started the support group Breathe Maryland where she helped educate and encourage other patients suffering from pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease and their families.

Anna took great pride in being a nurse, a mom, and a mommom. She loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it was just curling up to watch a movie together or cheering her children and grandchildren on during a game, a meet, or even just practice, she was a strong supporter.

A celebration of life for Anna is scheduled for January 11, 2025, at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Paoli, PA. Visitation will be held at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be sent to the University of Maryland ILD Clinic in honor of Dr. Nevins Todd and in memory of Anna and her mother, Justina.

Gifts in memory of Anna Risdorfer may be directed to support the ILD Clinic at the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation. Please make checks payable to: University of Maryland Medical System Foundation. Gifts may be mailed with a memo indicating that this gift is in memory of Anna Risdorfer to the UMMS Foundation, P.O.
