Arrest in Road Rage Shooting On I-95

An apparent case of road rage along I-95 in Harford County Wednesday afternoon has landed one man in jail made hundreds of people late for dinner.

Maryland State Police spokesman Greg Shipley says around 4 pm, two motorists got into a fight while their cars were in motion on I-95 north near Mountain Road.

One of them allegedly pulled a handgun and fired shots at the other car.

The gunfire did not hit anything.

There were no injuries.

The victim provided enough information to authorities that they were able to later arrest the suspect at his home.

State Troopers arrested Nicholas Hieder, 34, Joppa, and charged him with first degree assault and other offenses after he allegedly fired at least 3 shots in traffic
