|If your pre-holiday travels take you through Virginia this week…better mind your speed.
The Virginia State Police say a two-day crackdown netted almost 6-thousand tickets and arrests along Interstates 95 and 81.
Troopers netted more than 1,100 speeders along 95 between Maryland and North Carolina.
Troopers also cited drivers for 3,102 violations along Interstate 81 between the state’s borders with West Virginia and Tennessee on Sunday and Monday.
More than 200 citations were issued for safety belt violations along both interstates.
The agency has conducted 34 such operations since 2006.
