It is with profound sadness that the family of John Andrew “Andy” Purdie, Jr. announces his peaceful passing on November 12, 2024.  He was 69 years old.

Andy was born in Baltimore Maryland and graduated from Patapsco High School in 1973.  He proudly served as a Baltimore County Police Officer for 20 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Lisa Goetz-Purdie, son Timothy Glenn Purdie and stepson, Philip James Goetz, Jr. (Angela).

He was the cherished grandfather (Lulu) of Mia Nikoletta Corsi and Zuri Anna Goetz.

Beloved son of Janet Purdie and the late John Andrew Purdie, Sr.

Devoted brother of Dennis Purdie (Barbara), Timothy Purdie (Patty), Wendie Adams (Scott), Robert Purdie (Terry) and the late Jay Purdie.

Brother-in-law of Evangela Smith, Gregory Kielek (Sharon), James Kielek (Denise), Jonathan Kielek, Christina Lubawski (Mark), Maria Loskot (Tommy) and the late Martha Kielek and Greta Kolar.

Proud Uncle of an ‘enormous’ number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Andy had a passion for life and was always there for others when they needed help.  He will be missed by many.

His interment will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:30am at the Parkwood Cemetery, 3310 Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21234.
