Brother Glenn William Wagner, age 56, of Joppatowne, Maryland passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Glenn retired from the Department in 2021.

Glenn was born and raised in Harford County Maryland. As a young child he attended St. Stephens Catholic Elementary and Middle School in Baldwin Maryland. He always spoke fondly of the lifelong friends that he had made during those years. While not in school, he spent his summers at his parent’s beach home, fishing, biking, hanging with friends. While staying in Ocean City, he loved volunteering his time as a camp counselor for young kids and worked his “first” job at McDonalds.

Glenn graduated from John Carroll H.S. in Bel Air Maryland Class of 86’ and went on to attend and graduate from Salisbury University with a BS degree in Psychology in 1990. It was when he entered college that he found his true passion for DJ’ing. His friends and fraternity brothers from Phi Alpha will always remember him as “Uncle Otis”. He was known for his generosity and comedic personality. Always the life of the party!

Upon graduating from Salisbury, he attended the University of Baltimore where earned a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice in 1992. He then entered the Baltimore County Police Department where he spent 29 years bravely serving his community. Throughout his career, he was recognized with many honors and the distinguished recipient of many accolades.

Glenn retired from the Baltimore County Police in 2021 to spend his remaining years enjoying “the peaceful life” of fishing, working in his yard and spending quiet evening at his home.

His daughters lovingly remember him teaching them how to cook his mom’s favorite Polish breakfasts on early weekend mornings, always making them laugh, and crying over children’s movies. He passed on his sense of humor, love of music and spicy foods!

Glenn was predeceased by his father John W. Wagner and mother Mildred W. Wagner (nee Wisniewski) He was the devoted father of Emily C. Wagner and Allyson E. Wagner; dear brother of Elizabeth Lang (William), Michael Szewczyk (Marcia), John W. Wagner, Gary Wagner (Florence); uncle to many nieces and nephews.
