Charles Thomas Trenary, Sr.
Father of Detectives Chuck Trenary (RATT) and John Trenary (CAST) and the Father-in-Law of Det. Lauren Trenary (RATT).
Charles Thomas Trenary, Sr., 76, of Ellicott City, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center.
He was born on November 19, 1946, in Winchester, VA to the late Charles Trenary and Ruby Weatherholtz Trenary.
Charles worked for many years as a project manager in the HVAC field. He served in the US Army. He enjoyed baseball and especially spending time with his family. There were very few family functions he did not attend.
He is survived by daughters Michele L. Mursch and partner Chris Pulliam of Taneytown and Jennifer Trenary-Todd and husband Graeme Todd of Ellicott City; sons and daughters-in-law Charles T., Jr. and Sherri Trenary of Taneytown and Jonathan P. and Lauren Trenary of Union Bridge. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Zachary, Hailey, Kian, Ty, Wade and Knox.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Interment with military honors will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
