Brother of Sister Rachel Cassady of Precinct 12-Dundalk.

James “Jimmy” D. Cassady, Sr. of Aberdeen passed away on Saturday, August 24 at the University of Maryland. He was 42.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD he was the son of James L. Cassady and Hazel (Pluff) Cassady both of Aberdeen.

A loving father and huge Buffalo Bills fan, Mr. Cassady worked as a concrete finisher throughout Maryland. He also enjoyed fishing and crabbing with family as a child and shared that with his son.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son James David Cassady, Jr., sister, Rachel Cassady and her wife Marla Zide of Edgemere, MD, step-mother, Sandie Cassady, and numerous Aunts and Uncles; Addison “Rocky” Pluff, Thomas “Tommy” Pluff, Jeffrey E. Pluff, Leonard “Buddy” Cassady, Jr., Carole (Cassady) and Terry Vance, Sue (Cassady) and Ron Doenges, Patty Cassady, Bill and Janice Cassady.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, 333 S. Parke Street Aberdeen, MD  21001

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in his memory to the Trust of James D. Cassady, Jr., in c/o Rachel Cassady.
