Patricia L. Beitz
Wife of Brother Mel Beitz
Patricia Lee Beitz, 79, passed away peacefully, at her Appleton Wisconsin home, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday November 15, 2023.
Patricia “Patti” was born on April 28, 1944, in Cambridge Maryland, daughter of late William Wesley Crandell and Mary Edna Fountain Crandell. On January 14, 1978, she married Melvin Frank Beitz Jr. in Baltimore and were married forty-five blissful years.
Patti specialized in medical claims, having worked for many doctors, as well as having worked in a bank for a time.
She was a member to the Women of the Moose, Chapter 451 in Green Bay, WI. The Women of the Moose established in 1913 is a unit of Moose International. Members work in harmony with the members of the Moose Fraternity to provide a helping hand to those in need. She held merit degrees in the Academy of Friendship, Star recorder and College of Regents. She very much enjoyed being a member of Christ the King Church and participating in various duties, as well as bowling, playing cards and games with her family and spending time with children. One of her favorite foods, of course, was Maryland steamed crabs.
Patti enjoyed just about any sport, but very much loved her hometown sports teams, be it the Baltimore Ravens, the Green Bay Packers, or the Baltimore Orioles.
She is survived by her husband and life-long soul mate, Mel. She is further survived by a son, Gerald Lee (Kimberly Ann) Lupton of Baltimore and a daughter Janet Lynn Roug of Appleton; four grandsons: Ryan Lupton and Jeremy Lupton of Baltimore and Jonathan (Jessie) Roug of Appleton and Kristopher Roug of Madison, WI; two granddaughters: Heather Lupton of Dallas Town, PA and Sarah Lupton (fiancé’) Michael Ford of Bel Air, MD.; a great-grandson, Noah Roug of Appleton; and four great-granddaughters: Colette Ferguson-Roug and Nevaeh Roug of Appleton, Gabriella Clayton-Lupton of Baltimore, and Hailey Ford of Bel Air, MD; a brother: Robert Crandell of Baltimore and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Peter Roug; four brothers: Ivan W. Crandell, Donald C. Crandell, Adelbert F. Crandell, William B. Crandell; and two sisters: Virginia L. Hubbard and Juanita C Sawyer.
