The driver of a car which State Police say was involved in the hit and run of a trooper has turned himself into police.
Matthew Wood of Reisterstown is charged with numerous violations, including negligent driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failure to move over or slow down for an emergency vehicle and failing to obey a traffic control device, according to police.
Investigators say Wood struck Trooper Jason James along the JFX at Ruxton Road early Sunday morning.
The trooper was standing by the door of a car writing the driver a ticket.
State Police say debris from the car at the crash scene matched Wood’s car.
He is being held on $250-thousand bond.
