ED is responsible for regulatory oversight and enforcement of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act as well as the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA). The Clery Act requires postsecondary institutions that participate in the Federal student aid program to annually disclose campus crime statistics and develop and implement policies and procedures related to various aspects of campus safety.
