The Maryland Highway Safety Office is currently recruiting for a Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) position. We are recruiting under a
Highway Safety Specialist classification within the University of Maryland Baltimore System.
The Law Enforcement Liaison position will provide traffic law enforcement expertise, encourage involvement in traffic safety
enforcement initiatives, provide training and act as a liaison between the state’s law enforcement community and the Maryland
Highway Safety Office (MHSO). The LEL will assume a leadership role in the promotion of traffic safety issues to the law
enforcement community. The preferred candidate will have prior sworn law enforcement experience.
