Maryland State Police troopers continued to search through the night for an armed man who attacked a speed enforcement vehicle on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway near the BWI Marshall Airport exit, a state police spokesman said.

But Maryland State Police have no additional, substantial leads and have made no arrests, said the spokesman, Greg Shipley.

Police conducted patrols through the night and checked with businesses and hotels — and are reviewing their surveillance tapes — but police have no photos of the suspect, Shipley said.

The parkway and Route 100 were closed for about three hours before reopening about 2:45 p.m.
