A former city police officer faces a possible 45 years behind bars.
A jury convicted 61 year old Daniel Marshall of assault and other counts in a shooting that left a man wounded last year on Boston Street. Marshall…who retired from the force in 1986…was accused of shooting a man in the leg after the victim had been in an argument with one of Marshall’s friends. Prosecutors said Marshall was unable to knock the man down and instead got his gun and shot his leg…saying, “The next one is in your head.” Marshall had claimed he was acting in self defense. Sentencing is set for January 7th. |
