A Harford County crack cocaine dealer, who was on the lam for more than a year, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Tanya Valencia Mack, 40, worked with her brother, sister and boyfriend to convert powder cocaine into crack, which they sold in Maryland, prosecutors said. She was convicted of possessing the drug with the intent to distribute it by a federal jury in February.
Her conspirators have also been convicted in the case and sentenced to prison terms of between 11 and 20 years.
Mack, who lived in Abingdon, was indicted in July 2008, but fled. She was a fugitive until her arrest in December 2009.
