James E. Miller, Jr.

The lodge regrets to announce the passing of Retired Sergeant James E. Miller, Jr.

James “Jim” E. Miller Jr, a retired Baltimore County Police Sergeant and longtime Parkville resident died December 23, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Towson MD.  He was 61.

Born in Baltimore, he was the caring son of Laura Miller and the late James E. Miller Sr.

Survived by his fiancée of 14 years, Barbara Pike; Loving Father of Megan Holmes and husband Doug, Madeline Miller; former wife, Doreen Fitch; Cherished grandfather, affectionately known as “Baboo” to Hayden, Elsie, and Georgia Holmes; Devoted brother to Tony and Nick Miller, sister Julie Occhionero; cherished best friend of Paul Krawczyk; Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Jim can best be remembered for his love of family, golf, and practical jokes.  Jim was a baseball enthusiast. A great player in his younger years.  He enjoyed watching the Orioles and coaching youth teams for his brother Nick, daughters Megan and Maddie, nieces Laura and Ashley, nephew Mikey, and grandson Hayden.  Jim was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jim’s life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home – 8800 Harford Road, Parkville MD 21234, on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, 10 AM at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church on Old Harford Road. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
