Judge rules the Baltimore County Police Department violated the LEOBR

Baltimore County Pfc Damon White had a hearing today in Baltimore County Circuit Court in front of Judge Ballou-Watts.  Damon White’s attorney, Clarke Ahlers, filed a Petition to Show Cause under the Law Enforcement Bill of Rights.  In his petition he claimed the Baltimore County Police Department violated his rights under the LEOBR, specifically 3-104(j) (1) (i) On request, the law enforcement officer under interrogation has the right to be represented by counsel or another responsible representative of the law enforcement officer’s choice who shall be present and available for consultation at all times during the interrogation and 3-104(k) (1) A complete record shall be kept of the entire interrogation, including all recess periods, of the law enforcement officer.
(2) The record may be written, taped, or transcribed.

After the hearing, Judge Ballou-Watts found in favor of Pfc. White.
