Life Terms Given to Councilman’s Convicted Killers

Three men have been sentenced for the murder of a former City councilman.

WBAL’s Barry Simms reports from the courthouse that Charles McGaney and Jerome Williams have received life in prison plus 30 years for the death of Ken Harris.

A jury convicted McGaney and Williams more than a week ago of murder, assault, handgun and robbery charges in the death of Harris back in 2008.

A third man, Gary Collins was acquitted of murder but found guilty of assault, gun and robbery charges.

He has been sentenced to 65 years in prison.

An attorney for 22-year-old Charles McGaney tells WBAL Radio onnce sentencing is complete, he will be filing an appeal.
