A Baltimore judge sentenced a 25-year-old man to ten years in prison Wednesday for the death of a city police detective.
Sian James was found guilty of manslaughter back in April in the death of Detective Brian Stevenson. Prosecutors say Stevenson got into a dispute with James over a parking spot in Canton last October and James picked up a piece of concrete and threw it at the detective. Stevenson was hit in the head and died. He was off-duty and out with friends celebrating his birthday. Investigators found James at a nightclub hours later. Stevenson had been with the City Police Department for 18 years. |
