Two suspects have been arrested after police say three youths were shot in Turner’s Station in Baltimore County and a lengthy police chase through Baltimore County and City.

Three people were shot just after 8 p.m. in the area of Avondale Road and Lee Lawrence Court in Dundalk, said Lt. Robert McCullough, Baltimore County Police spokesman. A city police officer was also injured during the pursuit, city police said.

McCullough said the chase began on Dundalk Avenue and continued through Baltimore City to Woodlawn. It ended at Reisterstown Road and Northern Parkway in Northwest Baltimore, he said.

Baltimore City Police spokeswoman Nicole Monroe said the pursuit involved both city and county officers. Witnesses observed as many as 15 police vehicles in pursuit of the black Chevrolet Camaro.

Monroe said a city police officer was injured and was taken to an area hospital. The injuries were not considered life-threatening, she said. On Twitter, the department said the officer was hurt in an accident at Reisterstown Road and Northern Parkway.

Two suspects were arrested, McCullough said. Their names have not been released.

At least two of the shooting victims were male teens, McCullough said, while third was described as a female who was 18-20 years old. They were taken to area hospitals, officials said.

Police did not list their conditions but said the injuries were not life-threatening.

Baltimore County Fire Department spokeswoman Elise Armacost said five medic units, a fire engine, a battalion chief and three emergency medical service supervisors responded to the shootings.
