|Washington Avenue was reopened about four hours after a suspicious note was found attached to a porcelain toilet.
There also was a cell phone on or near the toilet.
Police said the toilet and note were found around 8 this morning by security personnel on a sidewalk at the property of the Old Baltimore County Courthouse in downtown Towson.
Police Lt. Rob McCullough said the Baltimore County hazardous devices squad determined the assembly was not dangerous.
McCullough said crime investigators determined that there was evidence pointing to a possible suspect.
No arrests have been made.
The device was set up to appear to be a possible bomb.
It’s not known yet what kind of message the note contained or if anyone in county government was targeted.
