Police in Howard County apparently had at least one previous run-in with a man officers shot on Monday afternoon in Hanover.
19 year old Jeffrey Nichols of Elkridge confronted officers at his home in early October when police said he flashed a knife at them and said “just do it…make it quick.” A similar incident was reported in September. In October, officers arrested him and took him to a hospital for evaluation. Police now say Nichols was shot 8 times Monday when he refused to drop a handgun near an industrial park. He is in critical condition at Shock Trauma. |
