Police Looking For I-83 Road Rage Suspect

Wednesday, August 03, 2011 – Jenny Glick and Steve Fermier
Maryland State Police are looking for a man they say beat and threatened to kill a woman after rear-ending her car on Interstate I-83 last week.

A woman traveling northbound on I-83 on Friday was hit from behind by a Jeep Wrangler that may have had Pennsylvania license plates.

It happened near Parkton not far from exit 33 south of the PA line.

Police say the driver of the Jeep offered the woman money to settle the incident, and knocked her to the ground and dragged her into some nearby woods when she called 911.

Police say the man punched the woman several times, saying he would let her go if she promised to leave without calling police.

The woman punched the man in the face, broke away, and drove away quickly in her car.

Anyone with information is urged to contact MSP at 410-780-2700.
