Friday, December 17, 2010 – Robert Lang
Court documents indicate a Dundalk man tried to gag a 12-year-old boy he was attacking in a school bathroom, as he was attempting to rape the boy.

The incident occurred Thursday morning at Holabird Middle School.

The boy screamed as he was being attacked and a school resource officer subdued the suspect identified as Sean Schleigh of Dundalk.

Schleigh also attempted to attack the officer to try to break free.

Police say Schleigh had earlier told school staff that he was looking for his younger brother when he entered the building at the start of the school day.

Schleigh confessed to police that he wanted to have sex with the boy.

He  is charged with 2 counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Sex Offense, 2nd Degree Assault, False Imprisonment, Resisting Arrest, and 2nd Degree Assault on the police officer. He is being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center with $1 million dollars bail.

School officials say they have increased security at the middle school.

Those steps include requiring school staff to escort to the school office anyone they feel does not belong into the school.

Visitors will also be required to wear ID badges and offered a detailed explanation to school officials as to why they need in the building.
