Report: Hairston Lost Employment Vote Weeks Ago

Tuesday, October 11, 2011 – Steve Fermier and Baltimore Sun
A secret, school board vote on the future of the Baltimore County school Superintendent, Joe Hairston, was held weeks before Hairston announced he would step down.

The Sun reports the school board was notified by letter – only this week – about Hariston’s decision not to ask for a new, 4-yr contract.

Hairston repeatedly refused to comment on reports that he would not seek to extend his contract in June.
