Baltimore City Police say someone torched a speed camera Friday.

City police say it happened about 7am at North Howard Street and Park Avenue near Mount Royal Station between Bolton Hill and Midtown Belvedere.

Police don’t have a description of the suspect and no damage estimate. All they know is that someone threw or poured an accelerant onto the camera and set it on fire.

City Transportation officials say the camera was a mobile device and was on a stand, not a pole.
