Until last night Baltimore had seen a sharp drop in violent crime.  Particulary homicides.

But as of the overnight the numbers took a jump.

Right now investigations are going on into four shootings…two of them that have turned into murders.

Just before ten last night two men were shot in Northeast Baltimore on Nasco Place. One died.

The other fatal shooting happened just after 7 last night also in Northeast in the area of Herring Run Park.

The first shooting happened last night just before six in the 500 block of North Montford Avenue in the McElderry Park area.

No word on arrests.

And it’s not known if the shootings were somehow connected.

The latest homicides bring the total so far in January to 13.

… Just Baltimore City being Baltimore City. …
