Suspect Held On Bail In Toilet Device Scare

Tuesday, February 08, 2011 – Steve Fermier and John Patti
Police in Baltimore County believe they’ve solved the mystery of the toilet and note left at the old courthouse in Towson.

They have charged a city man with placing a look alike explosive device.

He’s identified as 51 year old Duane Davis.

Davis is being held on $200,000 bail in the county detention center.

Davis’ Facebook page reveals he left his toilet at the Baltimore County Courthouse.

Police cordoned off an area around the toilet and other objects attached to it yesterday.  Those items included a written statement that refers to the shooting death of a man in Chicago who might be his son.

Another similar toilet was found near the city school headquarters last night.
